Teaching

Drawing from over two decades of professional experience as an independent photographer, writer, and archival researcher, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to my teaching practice. My pedagogical approach emphasizes adaptive curriculum design that responds to students’ individual needs and interests, incorporating hands-on exercises and critical analysis of creative work. My diverse course offerings span foundational photography techniques using both smartphone and DSLR technologies, comprehensive histories of photography that illuminate underrepresented practitioners, archival studies that examine collective memory through photographic collections, and documentary storytelling that prioritizes ethical visual narratives. Whether delivering instruction in traditional classroom settings or through digital platforms, I remain committed to fostering students’ technical proficiency while cultivating their critical engagement with the medium’s cultural and social implications.
